FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Imtiaz Youth Collective is a curated advisory group of young participants aged 15–18, created to provide youth perspectives on the future design of buildings and communities. The initiative enables Imtiaz Developments to design not just for them, but with them.
The Collective serves as a structured youth advisory and co-creation platform, offering insights into future living, social, recreational, and workspaces, while exposing participants to how real estate projects and communities are conceived.
Participation is open to students aged 15–18 who demonstrate curiosity or interest in cities, architecture, design, sustainability, technology, or future communities. No technical background is required.
Imtiaz Youth Collective runs for 12 months, allowing for continuity, reflection, and deeper engagement rather than short-term exposure.
The program includes:
- One kick-off session
- Monthly sessions throughout the year
- Online Sessions
- One closing ceremony
Sessions take place at:
- Imtiaz Developments Offices
- Approved project sites
- Selected off-site venues
All locations are pre-approved, supervised, and communicated in advance to parents and participants.
Participants will:
- Engage in guided discussions and workshops
- Observe and learn how real estate projects are conceptualised
- Provide feedback on early-stage ideas and future-use concepts
- Share youth perspectives on community needs and spaces
No. Imtiaz Youth Collective is not employment, an internship, or a paid position. It is an educational and advisory initiative.
Yes. Written parental or guardian consent is mandatory for all participants under 18. Parents will receive information about schedules, locations, supervision, and program boundaries.
Participants are selected through a structured and transparent process based on a combination of:
- Demonstrated interests (e.g. cities, design, sustainability, technology, social impact)
- Previous extracurricular activities that show curiosity, initiative, or engagement beyond the classroom
Selection aims to ensure a balanced cohort with diverse perspectives, while maintaining a high level of commitment and maturity appropriate for the program.
